 Biography

Dr. Juhi Yadav is an accomplished, well-published specialist orthodontist with experience in orthodontics and aesthetic dentistry for over 10 years in Melbourne. She has been a certified Invisalign provider since 2013 and has a special interest in providing complex orthodontic procedures using clear aligners, conventional braces, and lingual orthodontics for all ages. She is a member of the Australian Society of Orthodontists(ASO), World Federation of Orthodontists (WFO), Australian Dental Association (ADA) Federal and Victoria branch, and the Indian Orthodontic Society.

After completing her dental degree and postgraduate specialist training in orthodontics (2010) she attained the Australian Dental Council certificate, in 2012. She provided successful orthodontic and aesthetic treatment in the inner suburbs of South-East Melbourne and hence opened her boutique practice, Smile Avenue, in the leafy suburb of Box Hill South. Her special interest in surgical orthodontics and complex interdisciplinary cases culminated in further training. She acquired the Doctor of Clinical Dentistry specialist degree in Orthodontics with distinction from the prestigious University of Western Australia under the guidance of one of the pioneers in orthodontics worldwide, Dr. Mithran Goonewardene using the ideology of smart mechanics by late Professor Charles J Burstone

A dual degree in Orthodontics has kept her at par with the latest developments in Orthodontics. Her primary research was based on facial and dental aesthetics and was published in IJDR titled “Golden proportions as predictors of attractiveness and malocclusion. Her second research used finite element analysis and bio-engineering 3D software MIMICS, (Materialize Belgium) to evaluate the effect of miniscrew-based maxillary expanders in young adults. Her pioneering research in temporary anchorage devices for upper jaw expansion may allow selected cases to be treated non-surgically thus reducing the need for jaw surgery in appropriate patients.

Juhi has published in various peer-reviewed journals and has lectured on several topics nationally and internationally with a special interest in Surgical orthodontics, Surgery First, and Clear aligners in tandem with mini-screws and surgery. She also has a special interest in providing orthodontic care to kids with special needs and aims to provide an individualized, gentle, and unique environment to make orthodontic treatment efficient and enjoyable. With her commitment and dedication to the orthodontic profession, Dr. Juhi hopes to provide evidence-based care to her patients and continue to make a significant impact in the field of orthodontics.

In her spare time, Dr. Juhi is a happily married busy mum with a charming little boy who loves swimming, hiking, and reading. Together as family they love to travel, explore, and holiday by the sea.
